I was in the market for a durable, yet breathable race shirt for orienteering and adventure racing. In searching for a shirt, I happened upon True Story via a web browser search. After reading some of the details about the pro race shirt, it almost sounded too good to be true. On paper it checked all my boxes. I figured I’d roll the dice and order one. Knowing that European sizing typically runs a little small, I opted for size XL. The sizing turned out to be perfect. The shirt itself is great. There are 3 different style panels that make up this shirt. The back is mesh and the most breathable of the 3. Then there is the arm and shoulder panels which are also mesh but seem to be a stronger material than the back. Lastly is the front panel which is not mesh but provides good protection running through the woods. The shirt itself is very stylish. I purchased the red and black which was on my list of must haves. I really like the the dark panels under arms and down the sides. I feel it will show better over time and not look discolored. I put the shirt through a good test and it performed great. Overall, I’m super pleased with this shirt. It ticked all the boxes and then some. I’ll likely but other products from True Story in the future.
